The PRSA District Council serves the ten Districts of the Public Relations Society of America around the United States. Our key role is to develop strong leaders, facilitate discussion and best practice sharing, as well as being a liaison to National Board Members and PRSA Staff Members.
The Trailblazer Award honors a Florida based PRSA leader who has represented the best in public relations that has demonstrated a history of advancing the profession and the professionals within PRSA. The individual’s peers submit the nomination.
As the past-Chair of the Sunshine District, one of Woolley’s duties was to represent the Sunshine District on the National Nominating Committee where she helped interview and develop the slate of officers for PRSA’s national board of directors.
Woolley’s stateliest accomplishment helping lead the conference committee was tapping into the experience of the District’s seven Chapters to host a conference that attracted record attendance and participation from around the District.
The PRSA Sunshine District serves the seven chapters of the Public Relations Society of America based in Florida. The District’s role is to help develop strong leaders and support the local chapter development process. Since 2010, Woolley has served on the District Board of Directors and is a past-chair.
The Gulf Coast Chapter of PRSA is a boutique chapter with the mission of sharing the industry’s best practices and offering high-level professional development programs throughout Southwest Florida.
